HOW TO PREPARE A RECOVERY PLAN THAT WORKS
Most project managers, planning and project control personnel have been in the uncomfortable situation of having to explain to the client why the project is running behind schedule. This is often followed by the demand or promise to present a recovery plan outlining the strategies for bringing the project back on track.
However, after the plan is submitted, the project either recovers for a short while and then relapses into slippage again or does not recover at all. The reason for this is usually because the recovery plan did not address the real causes of the problem and lacks the solid planning necessary for its success. This cycle is repeated over and over, to the disappointment of all stakeholders.
This half-day workshop on How to Prepare a Recovery Plan that Works will walk you through the step-by-step process of setting a cutoff date, carrying out a comprehensive/ joint schedule review, conducting root-cause-analysis, isolating root causes, resolving issues, and developing a recovery plan. It will also review productivity issues that need to be considered including overtime deterioration.
This half-day online course will use interactive presentations and real-life examples, case studies and syndicate sessions to drive home the points.
