Have you heard of the Vulture’s House Project?
Well, an African folk story says that the African vulture was once caught in a thunderstorm with nowhere to shelter. He was thoroughly drenched and helpless under the rain that did not seem about to stop.
Then the vulture vowed that he would build his house as soon as the rain subsided to prevent a repeat of that terrible experience. Finally, the rain stopped, and the sun started shining brightly. Then the vulture decided to dry up first and look for food. “I will build the house later”, he said. The next time he remembered the house project was when he was under another heavy rain.

I had promised in a previous piece to outline the content and requirements of an effective training program for project planning. I am going to address that in this piece.
An effective training program comprises two key components: Great Content and Powerful delivery.
First, the content of an effective training program for planning engineers, in my view, should go beyond the technical skills of engineering or technical qualification and competency. It should also be more than competency in using project management software such as primavera or MS Project. It should include business and leadership skills.
Real World Project Planning
We have completed three modules (six sessions) of our course, Real World Project Planning. We have two modules (4 sessions) to go.
The course aims to equip participants with advanced project planning skills to enable them to raise their heads above the crowd and earn the premium wages for their services that they deserve.
